Car Insurance No Claims Bonus

Hi, I'm new to this forum so please be kind
I was hoping for a little help. My wife and I currently have cars on finance and with the way things are at the moment financially, it makes sense for one to go. Unfortunately it's going to be my car which means I'll get the train to work. This should hopefully save us £238 pm (car finance £138 + insurance £33 + fuel £190 per month. compared to season ticket £123)
In regards to the car insurance, as we are keeping my wifes car, it is currently insured with Directline in her name and I am a named driver. Am I likely to loose my current 5 years no claims I have earned on my current car if I were to insure again in the future? I am 24 and my NCB is a lifeline for me! Can I earn a bonus as a named driver?
Sorry if I am waffling! any advice is much appreciated, thanks in advance!!

You can both keep your NCD going by taking turns to buy the insurance at each renewal. (NCD usually expires when it is 2 years "old")0
