help and advice needed

hi my partner recently lost his phone on a shopping trip. The incident was reported to the police and also insurance company.
The insurance company has just gotten in touch with us saying he has no claim as he left gadget unattended despite the company covering him for loss.
is there anyway around this?

Are the company and the policy both saying the same thing regarding it not being covered when left unattended?

If not, then appeal their decision, and escalate if you are unhappy with their reply.

However if this is a condition set out in the policy, then the loss won't be covered.
  • What were the actual circumstances of the loss
