If you're getting popups you may be infected with malware. Any "pop up killer" software is unlikely to help if that is the case.
Run a quick scan with the free version of Malwarebytes as a start.

Answer John Gray's question above too. What browser are you using & does it affect all browsers if you have more than one installed (eg Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome etc), or is it confined to just one?0
