Hi,
Does anyone know if there is any distance learning course that offers a good basic knowledge in the fundamentals of share dealing and finance providing knowledge on items such as basic share dealing principles, technical terms of the industry ie. ETF, Wrapper etc etc.

I have seen some evening courses advertised at the universities and further education colleges. You could try there.
Also as le loup mentioned the"Idiot's Guide" range are very good for most complex subjects like this.
With regard to the online sources, are they totally independent? Are they not trying to sell something?0 -
Had a quick glance at their ISA section - - seems badly out of date.
Your are right, pretty annoying. On the ISA and other personal taxation stuff they at least give dates (e.g. as of 2009-10), hopefully people understand there could be changes, but this is not ideal for sure. I still feel the introductory tutorials on various aspects of investing are pretty good though.
