How to get a job when you can't drive

Sure does, if I couldn't drive I would go with the push bike option, plus it's a great way of getting fit.
When I was 18 I had a job which was 3 train rides away - I used to get the first train off the island, change 20 mins later after a wait, change 45 mins after that after a wait, and another 30 mins I got to the village. Then I had about 20 mins walk. And did the same on the way home but backwards. 6am start, and I used to get home about 8.
Quite tiring. But worth it because I was working. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
90mins from my front door, on public transport(train), costs more than a days employed wage after deductions.
Its only vibable to travel upto 90mins if i'm a contractor. Which if I was i'd be able to afford temp accomadation at a lesser cost than the daily travel.0 -
So where about are you located?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

What about a moped ?0

If your need a car to get a job living where you live, you need to change one of two things. You need to learn to drive or you need to move house.
The longer you remain unemployed the less employable you become. How did you get to work previously? I'm assuming you live in a rural location, but it doesn't appear to be suited to your needs."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." How many jobs are there within a 4-5 mile radius from home? I presume not many or else you would have no issues applying and finding work. In a nutshell no you cannot restrict, legally 90 minutes by publuc transport is the norm.0

Best to relocate. Try a bedsit if you can't afford a room to yourself.0

Definitely this!!
Also a moped is an idea..
But living the rest of your life relying on job in 5 miles area and none existing public transport (I realise this one exists, but useless) is just absolute madness.0
