20mm or 40mm for garden bed?

Help! Decided to use slate to try and keep weeds down in garden bed. I am thinking the larger size may look better - any pros or cons for using different sizes? Thanks

Well a question of personal taste in regards to size. Bark looks less like a cemetry.

I think it depends on the size of the bed and the size of your garden. Certainly in a small garden I think the smaller size would look more in proportion and more subtle, but you could get away with the 40mm in a larger garden.
