Is ebay glitchy this morning?

I have 2 unread messages and can't open them at all- nothing happens when I try, absolutely nothing grrrr

The site has been getting very slow for me for a while as well, takes several attempts to open things and the other day trying to list something it just kept telling me there was an error but nothing was wrong.

Yep they are definitely tinkering- I'm even struggling to buy anything on my buying account and the 'place bid' pages have all changed. I am now getting a pop up window suggesting I place a second bid, even though I am currently winning, to 'ensure I stand a better chance of getting the item'. That might explain the fact that many of my auctions show more than one bid from the same person even if they are the only bidder.

I'm on the community boards at the moment and it appears to be the regular account review time as there are just loads of posts and threads about sellers being suspended yesterday due to poor stars.

So one tip- watch your expanded dashboard over the next day or two as this is their adjustment period for many of us and things can appear and disappear. I will be cross though to get poor stars for communication if it is their fault I can't open any messages.

I respond quickly to all messages, do not overcharge on postage and ship next day and still get poor stars. I am currently getting the emails that says 'review your performance' short of flying there and delivering personally, I am not sure what else they want me to do.

If you have a warning email then you are already dangerously close to suspension.

What does your expanded dashboard look like?

(I am thinking of doing a thread on expanded dashboard as this seems very topical at the moment)

Sorry but if these figures are 'unacceptable' they can stick it where the sun does not shine quite frankly. Suspension?? Ridiculous!!

This system only favours high volume sellers and should be aimed at businesses as people like me who selling odds and ends who sell 10 items a month only need one star knockdown a month to get 'suspended' in the end.

I've got 1177 feedback with 7 neutrals and 1 negative since I started in 03 and certainly none in the last 12 months and that is unacceptable??

Maybe this is why they are offering free listings to business sellers all of a sudden!!

Interesting really as my listings are very detailed, I combine postage, I email updates, I do not overcharge and I dispatch on time.

I know what my main problem is - instead of stretching out the listings I'll do them all over a few days and upload at once - so over one weekend I'll list 100 items and of course, a few knockdowns in one month and you are shafted it seems.

It shouldn't make a difference, the percentage is worked out over a 12 month period.

However, 4,7 in a category is getting towards the lower end of 'standard' most sellers can maintain 4.8 or above and that, by default, is now considered average.

Seems to be working for me this morning, but last night I couldn't list anything: it just kept going to the log-in page when I tried.
