I've got vista but am having problems changing the shut down butons.
Presently they look like this:

However the two buttons are for standby and lock computer. I hardly ever do that so would like to change it to shut down and restart which I use far more often.
I've looked in the taskbar and startmenu properties but I don't see any options there to change this over... baffled as to how to change it!

Not at home at the moment so I can't test this, but does the following help at all?

I don't think it is exactly what you want but should at least change the sleep/standby function to shutdown.
I agree the choices are daft. I would prefer shutdown and restart or log off. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Brilliant - worked a treat - thanks!! :T
