They're discontinuing Pepsi!!!

Fanta replaced the sugar with aspartame. Unfortunately Fanta didn't really mention this fact and the first I knew of it was after I'd drank a substantial amount of it and was hit with the crippling stomach cramps (I'm allergic to aspartame)
However, I'm quite certain that Pepsi won't be going down this route and that the new drink is just another option they are trying.0 -

I don't like Fanta nowadays.
My kids like it though, despite the fact that I try and tell them it is bad.0 -
Still waiting for the proof....0

Full fat Pepsi is NOT being discontinued.
Other variations of Pepsi have been discontinued over the years, such as Pepsi Blue, because they were not big sellers. Do you really believe that Pepsi will discontinue its biggest selling product for a diet drink? That would be ridiculous.
The first rule of pinecone is you don't talk about pinecone...
There was a survey with a video saying at the bottom in big white capital letters that Pepsi Next WILL replace standard Pepsi.
Due to copy protection etc on the video I am unable to post or link to it, and indeed all I have is my assertations. Primarily, I posted this thread to judge if this was common knowledge, it appears not. As such, I'll bookmark the thread and let it slip down the pages until the time comes when I can say "I told you so"...
best I can do.0 -

I've read some nonsense on MSE, but the above really does come in at the top of the pile.0 -
Having an argument over which is better/safer/most natural out of artificial sweeteners and corn based fructose/glucose syrup seems akin to arguing over which is more healthy - marlboro or camel cigarettes. For those who are anti artificial sweeteners (and to a large extent I agree) take a look at the production section on this wiki page regarding the production of corn syrup - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corn_syrup and the same here on converting this into high fructose corn syrup - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-fructose_corn_syrup
Personally I have no huge problem drinking either - but only as a tiny % of my daily fluid intake. You should be aiming for 2 liters of water per day, in addition to a relatively small amount sweetened and caffeinated drinks (if you want - these are not essential for health!)0 -

So you thought you'd post all about it on MSE? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
