chandelier

Options
hello, does anyone know how to find out the approx value of a chandelier (without taking it to shop)? I would like to sell ours but I have no clue how much it is worth. Been looking on ebay but tbh I don't know what to look for (ie material, arms, cristal?)
thanks!

  • It depends whether you want to value it with a view to selling, or for insurance purposes. To get a rough selling-price valuation, I would call a local auction house - they will be able to send someone to value it.

I think an auction house would be better.
Just take a decent photo of it and ask the if they can value it from that, presumably you know what it's made of?

Whenever I see or hear the word chandelier now I can't help but think of this priceless little gem:

Unless it was tied into a joist it's really unlikely to be a crystal chandelier as this is really heavy (basically crystal comes from rock).
