Multi Penalty Charge Notices

Hi, I really need urgent advise and help. I have just received 16 PCN for the same offence of driving in a bus lane, just before i turned left on a roundabout. I received all these through the post on one day, the first ones were dated back in August up to now. Does anyone know how best to appeal please? I'm thinking of appealing because of the long timescale that received them and the big amount of money i have to pay. Any suggestions and advise will be greatly received.

Which Council, is it Liverpool by any chance?

And have you bought the car in recent months - or is it a hire car, or have you been the registered keeper for years?

Post about these on pepipoo and get help to appeal these tickets:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30

That forum will need a photo or scan of one of the PCNs and details about the dates of all of them; DO NOT POST there without pictures! The PCNs certainly seem too late unless it's a hire car or a recently bought car - the only excuse could be a delay in getting DVLA data for that sort of 'hire/recent transfer of keeper' reason.

But even then you can of course appeal them. Urgently get pepipoo advice first.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Best plan is go post up on https://www.pepipoo.com, they might have a better idea since this is council.

For the OP,s sake I hope it is there is only one which is compliant!:p

PS They only got that right because they had to repay over £700K or should have!
  • It is Plymouth city council, the first one dated 31/08/2012 and the last one dated on the 5 th of october. I own my car for more than two years which I was surprised to have all the penalty in one day.

So they are too late, off to pepipoo for specific appeal then, as already advised and linked above. You MUST be very organised and appeal all of them, quoting every ticket number.

    Where in Plymouth was it?
  • The late date should get rid of most before the 2nd October so that thins them down a lot. I assume you now know that the bus lane is a problem.:D
