Love it.. Someone posts on here asking a question, when they start to receive answers they ask for more until they get an answer they are happy with, in this case the ideal answer would have been...
Yes.. Spend it, it's okay; you won't have to pay back a penny.
As Flapjack said... Theiving !!!!!!0 -
No you will have to pay it back, its legally not yours and you know it isn't.
Contact the company involved and tell them whats happened, they will then want all money paid to you in error back.
Or you could spend it and then go to Prison for spending money that isn't legally yours.
Its up to you!!!!Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
Anyone else with different views about the situation? Is there any case there MR X could keep the money without breaking the laws?
I guess Mr X could always hope and pray that some random person could pop along and say "Spend it all", but I would not imagine a judge looking at the case sympathetically if Mr X said "Mr Anonymous said I could your honour.":A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

If 'Mr X' put the said moneys into a savings account, until asked to refund it, would 'Mr X' get to keep the interest that has been earned on the said money?0

Personally I would leave it in the account it's in. Yeah, you could earn interest on the money but you could also be accused of intending to deprive someone of the money completely if you start moving it around.urs sinserly,

Hello, I would like to get some assistance on the this situation.
Lets say MR X started to get money from the COMPANY Y where he used work. It looks like it's some kind of the mistake in Y's payroll because X is not working there anymore but he keeps receiving money. The question is does MR X has to return the money to COMPANY Y if they made a mistake in the payroll and send the money to a wrong person.
If and when the company ask for the money tell them you are brassic, and youre very sorry but your partner(from whom you are now parted) ran your affairs and the money is spent.
They will counter that the money is legally theirs and must be repaid, you offer to scrape together 10% as that is all you can afford, they consider your offer and after a few weeks they settle for 30% (depends on your bargaining skills), or they never ask for it.
Or be honest and pay it back tomorrow.0 -
