After our conservatory was broken into our insurers forked out £800 to replace the door (Anglian). That was about 15 years ago, so I'm thinking £600 is a bit on the low side.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0

We have just bought a new front door and did consider a UPVC one but looking at it we felt it probably wasnt as substantial as we wanted....the prices we looked at started at £600 fitted so your quote is about right for that type of door
We eventually opted for a composite door which was more expensive but suited our individual needs better.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

All I would say about uPVC front doors is that if you see a few police series you'll see police officers kick them in easily.0
