PayPal Dispute

Frank_123
Frank_123 Posts: 5 Forumite
Someone was selling an Xbox 360 game cheap on a forum, so I bought it from him and paid using PayPal, but I have still have not received it. I tried contacting him on the forum (where he told me he was selling the game), but he didn't reply back to my messages.

I have now opened a PayPal dispute, for item not received, but the seller is now lying and claiming the item was a 'digital goods'.

What should I do???

Will PayPal side with the seller???

Thanks

unless they said that in the auction i doubt paypal will side with them. Did you pay with a credit card?

I used my back account to pay the seller...

I did not buy this game from Ebay...I just used PayPal to pay for it.

Did you pay for goods or send the money as gift?

I didn't send the money as 'GIFT'.

I chose 'PURCHASE' and then 'GOODS', when I made payment using PayPal.

Will that be enough to prove that it was not a 'digital' item???

If you can prove he was touting a non digital item then I would have thought so

On the forum in his 'signature', it just says:

Selling Fifa 13 for Xbox 360 For £15. PM me for further details.

Can a seller 'pull a fast one' by claiming the purchased item was a 'digital' item, or do they investigate further?
