Is this ok? (car insurance)

I have just moved to Scotland and have just passed my driving test and am currently looking at cars/insurance. When getting a quote I have been putting my mother as a named driver and getting 1/3 off the cost .
However she lives in northern Ireland and will never drive it ever(have another female relative in Scotland who will also never dive it) .... is this ok or am I breaking the rules?
it just feels like I am beating the system, which usualy ends badly lol

It is ok.
Make sure that all your named drivers keep you up to date with their claims/convictions/notifiable illnesses etc and that you in turn keep your insurer informed of these.0 -
The risk is they have incidents and dont tell you about them.
Other than that its all OK.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
