Web hosting for free

I'm looking for a free web hosting site for a small website I'm setting up
Does anyone know anything about Wix? or have any other suggestions?

What level of web design/coding skills do you have? From what i have read about wix in the past, it is aimed at people with next to no coding skills. If you are after a very easy site to be create then do this, the downside is it is limited what you can do with the site so you will most probably end up with a site looking very similar to every other site made using wix.

Keep away from Wix if you intend to run the site for use on Mobile/Smartphones

they are better options then Wix, trust me!

Its a simple website of about 5 pages, maybe 6. with most space being taken up with graphics No need for any databases or other stuff. Just simple old HTML.

I have a music site with shopping cart on Vidahost and currently use some of the space for the simple site. It's about 80% full and to avoid having to upgrade to another price level I'm cutting down on unnecessary photos etc. Part of cutting down would be moving the simple HTML site
I wasn't sure about Wix. It was one of the first to come up in asearch

I use One.com - Been using them for years - Cost about £9.00 for first year then around £20 for subsequent years - Highly recommend.

Sounds like Moonfruit would be an ideal medium for you. Doesn't need much experience and it's free for a basic website, which can be expanded later on at a small cost if you want to expand.
