Washer too high

Washer and dryer are too tall for the worktops.
Too much work involved in lifting them (and new base boards etc) - tiles floor underneath could be chipped out but leads to potentially getting the machine stuck in a ditch (and ruining floor I reckon)
Height reducing lids not available for this model and legs can't be shortened any more.
Any suggestions other than buying new ones?

Can you not just take the tops off, thats all i've done before?
Are they being put in a fitted kitchen or somewhere else?
If you have units under the worktop they should fit with the lids/tops off as a (normal) kitchen unit is a standard size.
Unless the flooring is so thick and runs under the (reduced) baseboards.Lose is to not win......Loose is not tight......get it right!0 -
Machines apparently come in different heights. This kitchen is the right size for shorter ones.
What do you do at the front egde if you take the lids off? They're just going under worktops.0 -
On mine when I took the top off I just taped a sheet of strong polythene over the top using clear tape over the side edgesYou scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0

Are you talking about purpose made 'fitted' appliances?

You should be able to take the tops off by a couple or so screws,it shouldn't affect the fronts.
They might come in different heights but the difference is by a fraction. They are all basically a standard size and should, with the top off,fit under a normal height worktop.
Even if you can get them to fit,i would be more worried about the depth of the appliance, have you measured this?Lose is to not win......Loose is not tight......get it right!0 -
could be one of two problems or both, the worktops/units have been installed too low or the floor has been built up too much after the units were installed the worktop height is normally 900mmI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
