Accessing Rightmove/Zoopla Old Listings

Hi,
New poster - so please be gentle.
We've been looking at the housing market for a while and after seeing a few properties in our desired location over the summer, we've finally got our act together and started to look in earnest at the market for real.
However, since we got our financial house in order and got an idea of our budget, we can't seem to find anything we like.
I do know some of the properties that were on the market that did catch our eye, were taken off without being sold.
What I'd like to know is, is there anyway I can see properties that have been listed over the past 18 months on the various property websites (Rightmove, Zoopla etc). Obviously, I can cross check that against sold data to have a list of people who have been interested in moving.
Just thinking of dropping a note through the doors of the houses we might be interested in and asking if they'd reconsider selling it.
I'd like to be able to access their listings, so I can see details of the houses (photos, dimensions, descriptions), so I only contact households we have a real interest in.
Some of have said an estate agent will do this for us, but thought we may be in a stronger position if we contact the householder direct,
(as the only interested party and they won't have the fees to pay).
Thanks in advance for your comments

Welcome!
Just leaflet a whole street or estate, it's far less hassle than trying to work out who might or might not have been interested in selling and you should get more interest. Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

Exactly.
Number 2 may have been for sale in the past, but if they're definitely staying put, and No 4 is thinking of moving, a leaflet to No 2 will be going to the wrong house.0
