British Gas - Click 2 - good service?
Options
Considering British Gas (Click 2) but British Gas seem to have a poor service rating. Is switching to them likely to be painless? Is it easy to use their Click 2 online service? Is it easy to get through to them by phone if there are problems?
Have been very happy with the Scottish Power online service but they, even with their Option 3 service, are no longer as competitive as they were in our area. Might be worth staying with them due to their good no hassle service??

Hi there..
Don't take everything you read on here as gospel when people are complaining...I have helped several people when I gave them my contact info and I found what they say on here does not always reflect the problems they have had... British Gas is the biggest out of all the energy company, if we sneeze or more all hell breaks loose and all over the press..
I work for the complaint department within British Gas and i have noticed a huge drop in the complaints we have been receiving, so we are doing somthing rightIf you wish to register read the pro's and con's and make your own decision. Click 2 as far as i know is one of the cheapest around and you manage your account online
hope this helpsHey folks...remember I might work for the company but I am a human and working in my own time, I will not responde to people who are rude, sarcy and crits me. My views and comments do not reflect British Gas and they are totally unreasponsable for my responses.0 -
I joined the original click energy at the end of last year and it took them 3 or 4 months and a couple of phone calls to sort out. They claimed there was due to a couple of months backlog
What I have only just realised is that you don't get transferred to click energy 2 automatically so I have to go through the whole process again. If you don't you are left on a far poorer rate. Downright dishonest? Deliberately underhand? You decide ...0 -

scottish power have done the same thing, although in scottish powers case in february 2006 their was just online energy and possibly online energy no standing charge ( no need for 2 seperate tariffs ) 14 months on and there is now online energy, online energy no standing charge, online energy 2,online energy 3 in addition to all the non online tariffs, fixed and capped tariffs
think the words beginning with "d" sums it up, with the addition of disgracefull  i believe people should be repaid for the amounts theve paid over and above the power suppliers cheapest tariffs as many people switched companies thinking they were switching to the "cheapest deal"0 -
How long does it take to switch to British Gas Click?
I filled out the online form 2 weeks ago. I was with British Gas for gas & EDF for electric.
1 week later I got a letter from British Gas welcoming me to my new house & giving me the account number from when I moved in January!
I would just like to know when will the new lower tariff kick in.0
