Ladies Car Insurance Question

So I'm 27, female, no accidents and car insurance due for renewal 28th December. I'll have 7 years no claims by then.

Do I...

-Cancel my current and start a new policy now? (losing a years NCD)
-Save Quotes just before the price hike and then buy the cheapest on the 28th?
Or
-Forget about it and hope it doesn't affect me as I'm over 25 anyway...

Also do we know for sure the price increases will be on the 21st? Or will some insurers do it before then? Is there anyway to know?

No way to know, the date is a deadline but anyone switching early will be loosing the better value female business so I'd expect them to leave it as late as possible.

Most insurers only give discount for up to 5 years NCD so the loss may not be great but you will have cancellation fees to pay which possible means its more expensive to cancel than to keep it to term.

The other thing to remember is most insurers do quotes that are valid for 30-90 days and so you can already test someone like DirectLine to see if they are more expensive pre or post the deadline (or exactly the same). You could then "lock in" your price prior to the renewal
