Insurance PROBLEM

Yeah some idiot hit my bike, an engineer inspected it and said that i was entitled to £2600 + damaged motorcycle. I was happy at this stage as i got the motorcycle for pea nuts.
So the claim dragged on for longer than i inspected so i decided to fix the motorcycle myself for less than a quarter of £2600.
So now as the claim coming to a close the other insurance company have asked my solicitors if they could inspect the motorcycle, they couldn't say no as they are entitled to do so.
So im wondering when they come and inspect my motorcycle which has been fixed, will this then effect the amount of money i will receive?
As they may make demands like for example we won't pay £2600 for repairs as it cost you far less to repair the actually bike.
Sz im 17 and my knowledge in this department is verryyyyyyyyyyyy lowwww.. so don't troll me if the above seems comical.

I hope you took pictures of the damage? or atleast you have the reciepts for the repair
if there is no personal injury they will pay for the damage according to what you paid for it on the reciept, if you don't have reciept or any pictures then i don't know0 -
Who instructed the engineer to do the inspection? Presumably you are claiming directly from the TPI with the assistance of the solicitor rather than off of your own insurance?
Your paying for a solicitor.... what is their advice?0 -
You will probably get back what it cost you to fix the bike.
Hope you kept your receiptsmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

my solicitors only advised me not to speak about the accident ...
i have the engineers report with damage stated... i also have pictures of damage.. but i don't have any receipts..
I will try argue that i deserve the £2600 as the crash resulted in my bike becoming cat c, just saw it after reading the report again. So that would mean when i go on and sell my motorcycle the cat c wreckage category will affect the price of my bike in a negative way.0 -

Given they'll be billing at £100+ per hour don't you think it is worth getting a little more advice from them? They should be earning their fees!
You didnt mention who instructed the engineer in the first place0 -
I don't for my solicitors..
I went through an agency who specialise in motorcycle accidents..
i got a free courtesy bike whilst mine was being fixed... they then put me through to solicitors who then took over the legal side of my case... all their fee's will be paid off by the other party0
