Help Merc Sat Nav

All,
Dont know if anyone can help but I've just returned from Thailand and a freind of mine just purchased an brand new Mercedes Sports Car it was imported with Sat Nav.
The Problem is the sat nav system wont work for Thailand but it will work for europe he can find his UK house on it from their?

Yet Toyota sat nav works in Thailand and a mobile phone that has sat nav
works there, also tom tom sat navs work

I dont understand why mercs Sat Nav dont work, is the software not ready for Thailand, I cant believe mercs have not overcome this problem ??

It is more than likely it just needs an update CD with the Far East/Thailand Map installed.

The GPS will work in Thailand so it just needs a map to overlay the position onto.

Try contacting Mercedes or a third party company for the Thailand Map update.
