question about exit penalty - what if i move out (esp. moving abroad)
hi
i am going to switch to the npower Engergy Online January 2014.
There's an exit penalty.
My question:
what if I move home? Especially moving abroad, which is a high possibility sometime next year.
will i then have to pay the penalty? npower customer service says no. but i'm not sure if i trust that statement...
because if i terminate a contract due to a move, how would they know i'm actually moving? therefore, they might still penalise me?

This seems to be a duplicate post, which was answered on the first one that now seems to have been deleted
So Again - When moving home to another address, no matter what country you go to, you are released you from your current Utility contracts without penalty clauses being applied.
However many n'power contracts include a 'Cash-back' element after you have been with n'power for a year and have made 12 consecutive D/Debit payments - You are paying towards this cash-back with every D/Debit you make, but if you close the account before making the magic 12 you will not get the cash-back.
Look closely at the figures to see if n'powers Energy Online 2014 tariff makes sense if you don't get the cash-back0 -
thanks!
strange; duplicate post, and the other one deleted?
never got an email about replies or anything.
well, thanks for replying again0
