BBC Iplayer on sky on demand

Options
BBC IPLAYER is finally on SKY On Demand/catch up/ anytime + whatever it's called it is actually very good, got my wireless adapter for £9.99 after seeing it mentioned on here and one of the best tenners i've spent, not sure if offers still on though.

My hub is next to the Sky box so I don't need the adapter.
Only 4 OD to go and Sky will have the set of catch up players.
Nice implementation of the iPlayer, and folks with slow internet can still use the service as the content is downloaded rather than being streamed.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Does anyone know if the catch-up facility still works if you just pay the tenner to use the Sky+ facility without subscribing to any packages? We realised a year ago than we don't watch any pay channels, so contacted Sky to reduce our payment to that monthly tenner, but they gave us a half price deal for a year instead. That has just eneded and we realise that we still don't watch any pay channels. But I would like to use catch-up for the main terrestrial channels.

  • What is the wireless adaptor? Would love this in my sky box but our router is the other side of the house...
  • Excellent - nice to see a bit of harmony. Sky+ Anytime is really starting to shape up
  • wireless adapter plugs in back of sky HD box then wirelessly connects to your router so you can access all the On Demand features, it is very good i was getting a bit disgruntled with sky but this is a fantastic service.

The price has gone up. I bought one a couple of weeks ago from SKY for £9.99. Very neat little box.

It's great little device & so easy to set up. Our router is upstairs & that's why we needed one.
