Ohhhh, you are all so good you make me seem even worse!!

I have been soooooo bad  what with the school hols and stuff!! I have spent of £100 on fuel in the last week (and on empty again) but that couldnt be helped (my step dad had a stroke on Easter Sunday and they live 200 miles away!!)

My *lovely* car is also in need of a new timing belt so watch the window fund (see sig) deplete next week  Tis also DD's 14th B'day

HOWEVER - Here's how I hope to redeem myself:
    • Back at work next week so pack ups all round and leave purse at home!
    • Sweet talked the lady at Eureka into letting us use 2 BOGOF's today halving the price of a day out :j
    • Did my *big shop* at 3 different supermarkets utilising all the offers - spent just over £90 (4 of us) BUT shouldn't need anything but bread and milk for 2-3 weeks!
    • Made £20 on eBay
    • Religiously put any £2 coins in the tin

So hopefully - not all is lost!!

Sorry to hear about your car Becks :(

I'm pleased with myself - not only a no spend day, I also found 1p on the floor in the car park, so I bent over to "tie my shoe lace" and swiped it! I shouldn't really get so excited about 1p except that I had 99 other 1ps at home so now I have a full bag to bank.

Going to try for a no spend weekend too since payday's not til next week - working tomorrow so that will be easy. Sunday I plan to visit my parents for a free meal, hope I can avoid spending any money though...

do you go to eureka a lot? if so its really worth an annual ticket, it was £50 last year for the 4 of us (dd is under 3) that includes parking . its was going to be £27 for one visit, inc parking so it paid for itself in 2 visits

edit: message meant for tigtag02, somehow didnt manage to quote in my reply!

Just been into town for the first and LAST time (been working here in Norway for 2 months and have only seen the hotel, the office, the airport and the roads in between).

Bought 1 glass of beer (not even a pint!) & 1 glass of diet coke - £8.50
    1 Pizza & 1 glass of Pepsi Max - £25.00
Taxi back to hotel - £26.00 (just missed bus and next one was an hour to wait).

I was in town for 2 hours and spent almost £60!

Each time I handed over my cash I felt like slapping them and shouting "it's a fking liberty!!" a-la foul-mouthed gran off Catherine Tate show.

It's back to McDonalds and quiet nights in the hotel with a book for me.

Hi PaP - Didn't get home till late as I was taking my youngest daughter back to Uni. Loads of traffic and a couple of hold-ups.
Anyway - kept spending to a minimum lunch in Morrison's in Walsall, as predicted, but they had £1.00 off of Fish, chips and mushy peas, so with a couple of teas - total cost £7.60.:j :j
Stopped for a coffee on the way back - 88 pence.
    Total spend - £8.48. Quite pleased with that.:D :D
