Last week i joined Sainsbury,s Energy as they were a lot cheaper then EDF and also they are doing a Nectar points offer but for some reason yesterday i got a letter from British Gas.
So why have i not got a letter from Sainsburys?
will i be a customer of British gas or Sainsburys?
I am worried that i wont get the nectar offer that was offered to me if i become a BG customer as i wanted to be a Sainsburys customer.

Presumably BG will supply your energy, they give nectar points as standard, so they must have some affilliation with sainsburys. Give them a call to clarify.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
I can confirm BG is the supplier for sainsburys.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I must say, I always ignore Nectar points as I regard them (possibly incorrectly) as almost worthless (as opposed to say Tesco points which I get some value from when exchanged for e.g. restaurant vouchers).
Do you think Nectar points are even worth the hassle of collecting at all, and am I missing something?0 -
I share the same view - I've just linked my ebay account to Nectar, so I'll presumably accumulate even more points I don't really know what to do with!!
I can't remember the last time that Nectar sent me any communication regarding my points or what I can do with them.
Tesco Clubcard, on the other hand, send regular updates, and I use hotel vouchers and restaurant vouchers for free weekends away.0 -
Just for the record, I have used Nectar points in Sainsbury's. I have done shopping worth over £50 "free" using my collected nectar points over time.
Regarding Sainsbury energy, no amount of Nectar points is worth being a British Gas customer. I hate BG.0 -
Bg are not bad just like the others, jsut as long as things go smoothDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

No you are probably correct, it is useful having a Nectar key tag, I've used it to buy the odd sandwich at Sainsburys when short of cash.
1000 points = £5.00That gum you like is coming back in style.0
