    Afternoon folks

    Today I:

    * accepted a contract for 16 hrs per week in 2nd job starting may 11th
    * am currently using my new slow cooker!!!
    * used my bus pass
    * added to me £2 coin collection
    * helped a friend change her broadband and phone supplier to virgin to be saving £26 per month. Not my money, but still a nice feeling

    Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
  • A big thing for me actually that i've only just completed.

    I've been honest with my parents and told them my fiancee and i can't afford to go to Australia for my sisters wedding (im australian, been in the uk for 3 years).

    I've been honest in the past saying where finding it difficult to afford, but they've assumed where not that hard up for cash. Im mean't to be my sisters bridesmaid and they've bought my shoes for me. So decided i had to be honest before dress material is bought. Found it really difficult to do and also very upsetting to do, will be something i will find hard to miss out.

    Though its saved me getting £3000 more into debt...

    * Spent an hour trying to work out Pigsback (still don't get it :confused:)
    * Placed three matched bets for tomorrow afternoon/evening worth approx £60
    * Made enough of my tea for tomorrow as well so I won't be tempted to buy rubbish on the way home from work
    * Sorted accounts
    No longer using this account for new posts from 2013

    :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
    Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
    So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:

    I managed my first no spend day for absolutely months,
    i've come back to MSE after a long lapse.
    Made tea from store cupboards first time for ages i haven't resorted to a take away on a friday night.
    Spoke nicely to my seedlings to get them to grow, hoping to grow my own veggies this year.
    Planning to put washer on so it runs through the cheap period and then peg out tomorrow.

    Small steps but they all help i'm sure
