worried sick

I feel so silly writing this post but I'm really worried about my husband. He flew to LA yesterday & his plane landed 2 hours ago and he should have been in contact with me by now but hasn't. He is a very thoughtful man & knows I am worried about him landing safely etc so to have not heard from him is very unusual & I can't get through on his mobile. Normally I wouldn't be too concerned at this stage but yesterday i tried calling him to make sure he got to Heathrow ok & when I did get to speak to him he sounded a little odd & didn't make much sense. Our marriage is a very happy one & he has shown no signs of anything being wrong. I feel so helpless, I don't know who to call or what to do. Sorry it's not something anyone can really help with but if anyone has got any advice I would really appreciate it.

Morning Aldeney,
I am sure that everything will be ok and that your husband is just finding his feet in America before contacting you. It is never easy landing in another country and finding your bearings.
If you have his flight details why not call the airline and ask if the flight was ok and when did it land, etc. I have never done this but it should be straight forward/
Also with him sounding different at the airport again do not worry, people change when flying and so it is natural to sound different.
He will be fine and always remember that no news is good news although I do understand until you have contact you will remain concerned.0 -
I remember flying to America some time ago and it taking an AGE to get through all their checks etc.

Thank you so much to both of you for your kind replies. I spent the last few hours trying to find information but to no avail. Fortunately he just called from his brother's house to let me know he arrived safely. he did send me 2 text messages which never reached me & he was really upset that I had worried unnecessarily. So all's well that end well. Thank you again for taking the time to respond.0

If you like me you probably also worry even when you have nothing to worry about!
I am really touched by all your posts, it seems a little silly now but everything feels worse at 4 in the morning.0 -
Aldeney, if I'm not worrying, then I start worrying about WHY I don't have anything to worry about!0
