Hi,
I am planning to covert my bathroom into a wetroom. However, some of my bathroom is wooden partition wall. If I just stick tile onto the wooden wall, it might probably taken off by the shower water over long time. Could anyone suggest how to stick tile onto this kind of wet room wall?
Best regards,
TONY

I would have the wood off and put up aqua panel http://www.wickes.co.uk/aquapanel-backing-board-1200x900x125mm/invt/220561/?source=123_74
In a wet room (instead of a std shower) I would then use a BAL tanking kit. Before using BAL adhesive.0 -

Can I just just use vapor shield or moisture shield plasterboard?
BTW, I heard people use PVA primer on the wood before sticking tile?0 -
You can do what you like, but the above is the best solution, aqua panel is cement based so not effected by water put tiles on it and they will stay stuck. Plaster board is covered in paper put paper in water it turns to mush you cant stick tiles to mush.
PVA should be banned from all bathrooms, don't use a water soluble glue to stick tiles up in a shower.
