that I've transferred all my DD's/pay etc to, does anyone know how long it takes? Can it be immediate?

Your branch can amend them one account to another with immediate effect.0

Are you asking about transferring the DDs or closing the account?
The closing the account itself isnt immediate, it takes a few days at least (or in my case over a month)0
