Monitor slipped

I have just purchased a new computer which i'm real happy with. I have changed the resolution to 1024x768 as the wording is then to a stndard that i can see. And i'm happy with that. But my page has slipped of the screen, well it sort has, it has moved to the right by about half a inch. So i now have a black line round the left hand side. how do i get this correct. When i click on to restore it just minimizes it the when i click on it again it reverts to having the black border. Any ideas at to what to do Please. x

Use the buttons on your monitor to get the picture back in the middle.

There may be a monitor properties section if you follow a long winded route:-
ControlPanel->Display Settings-> Advanced-> Display-> Monitor-> adjustments. At this stage I get controls to position and scale the screen.

If you can't get rid of the black bars via the latter or by monitor push buttons then consider reducing the refresh rate by a few Hertz. On my system it is at ... display-> adapter->List all modes. Your set up may be different so research your options.
