IceSave Would I have a case

Hi all
After receiving some information on this messageboard I decided to apply online for an Ice Save account. However when applying for the account online I was informed that my drivers number on my drving licence was not accepted as it was a Northern Ireland one. I rang Ice Save and they said all I need to do is send them a copy of the front and back of the licence and they will rectify the situation.
I sent off my copy of the front and back of the licene and one week later I was told that the copy had been accepted and my account would be setup soon. However several days after this I received a second letter claiming that the copy of my licence had been rejected and I would need to provide Icesave with proof of residency and identity.
Again I phone Icesave who informed me that I would need to get the copy of the licence certified at the Post office, when this was done I was told to send the certified copy to Icesave. I did this and again I received a letter telling me that the copy had been accepted and my account would be setup soon. However several days after this I received a second letter claiming that the copy of my licence had been rejected and I would need to provide Icesave with proof of residency and identity.
Today I phoned Ice Save (Whos staff are actually quite friendly and helpful) they apologised for this state of affairs, admitted that there were mistakes made on their side and promised that all would be sorted soon.
While I am glad that the problem is finally being addressed I am disappointed it has taken so long and during this time £5000 has sat in my account (paying virtually no interest) when it should have been making money in Icesave. What I would like to know is am I entitled to be compensated by Ice Save for this sequence of events which has held me back for around two months now?
Thanks in advance.

I doubt very much whether you would be entitled to any kind of compensation, after all they aren't under any kind of obligation to offer you an account anyway0 -
No, no entitlement to compensation. But a nice letter to someone senior (by name if possible) setting out how much all this has cost you in admin expenses and lost interest might prompt a goodwill payment.0
