New Build Apartment: How can I get the best deal?

Please excuse my lack of knowledge but this is my first property. I have just bought a new build apartment, how do i:

1) find out who the energy suppliers are (will there already be a chosen supplier, I am guessing there must be?)
2) can I switch them for a better deal?
3) How can I find out who the best deal is if I cannot supply any previous indication of my usage levels.

Please help a very confused home-buyer out!

There will be an existing 'deemed' contract.
    You can usually switch.
For a new property, there should be a energy performance certificate.
This should give some idea on bills.
Otherwise, put in the national average as usage, and then a figure half this - to see how it alters.

    1. The builder/developer/agent will inform you at handover
    2. Yes, if there is one
    3. Use a comparison site
