Council redundancy

Hi my wife is being made redundant at Christmas, she's had the figures, but when the last round of redundancies were made, higher paid members were on a high calculation rate than the lower. This was challenged in court and it looks like the council are going to be made to treat all equally.
As my wifes in another round of redundancies will that apply to her, does anyone know if she needs to do anything to ensure if this does happen she'll be treated equally as well?
Anyone know anything

I don't think anyone on here will know.
Why don't you ask a local trade union official or someone in the council's HR?I am an employment solicitor. However, my views should not be taken to be legal advice. It's difficult to give correct opinion based on the information given by posters.0 -

My understanding is that it depends on the individual local authorities policy. If the policy is based on paying x number of weeks pay, linked to age of employee and number of years service, then the higher your rate of pay the more redundancy you could receive. It is linked to the discretionary regulations and is a compensation for loosing years you could be in the authorities employment before pension.0
