Worried48, if you believe for one second you are going to receive a cold call, random text or email from anyone genuinely offering you a loan, you need to sign over control of your life to someone else.

I'm saddened at how gullible you seem to be.

If you are wondering why there are so ,any of these scammers, look closely at what you are doing now. Plenty more fall for it.

    V good Bugsy !

OP the only way for you (like it was for me) is down the DMP route.

I now have 1 more payment to make in Dec to clear £22k of debt.

Its taken me 7 years but I am NEARLY there !

O come on, they can't all be scammers surely. I'm not paying fees up front - got caught on that one twice in the distant past (over a decade ago). Are you all seriously saying that there is absolutely no credit available, other than payday loans, for someone with no defaults just because I am already borrowing 8k? All the adverts out there are lying?

You're looking for a loan. You tell us. How's your search going?

Any luck, apart from payday and guarantor loans?

Of course there are loans available, but lenders are being very picky about who they lend to.

And with demand vastly outstripping supply there's plenty of room for dodgy loan brokers.

O you disappointed me, I thought it was some genuine site talking about this sort of loan! Might be an entertaining project for someone to work on :D

No it wasn't a cold call, I had put my details into some of these broker sites (no I haven't paid anyone any money!) I am surprised at how bad my credit is, that's all. I just ran the credit score tool that is on this site somewhere and really it seems there is not a lot against me (it was very easy to change from "very weak" to "average" just by changing one thing, and to "good" by changing two things)

I don't need the money urgently so I guess the only answer is to forget it. After all we might have our PPI money through by the time I actually need the money (assuming our claim is upheld of course)
