I'm worried about setting up a DMP as I don't know what this will mean for the future. For example, if I went to change jobs etc would employers be able to find out about it?
No they wont but it might depend what the job is.
Also, will it affect my husband's credit? I'd really rather not go down this route if I can avoid it.
Depends if your linked, are you ?0 -

Yes, we have a joint mortgage and bank account. That's my main reason for not wanting to go down that route. It seems unfair if he has to suffer because of my past stupidity.
Sometimes its best to let it all out in the younger years when single and partying but when you've got a family you never know whats around the corner so keeping a good credit history is always more important then people think.
Unless you've got those who uses their loaf a bit more who concentrate on keeping a good bit of savings aswell.0 -
If he's close to the same situation then maybe a DMP is the best route for you, both of you:)0

So, are you all saying that the companies that advertise that they can provide loans of this size and greater for all credit circumstances apart from bankruptcy are lying?0

So, are you all saying that the companies that advertise that they can provide loans of this size and greater for all credit circumstances apart from bankruptcy are lying?
Generally yes. Look on this forum for the numbers of people who have paid a company to look for a loan and received nothing.0 -
I just logged into one of the sites a text referred me to, a direct lender. Worth looking, I thought. They are prepared to lend me £60. Wow!0

A text referral? No way that is going to be a scam at all.0
