New boiler advice - new pipework?

Hi Folks,
My Ferroli boiler has a small leak - when I have the heating on for a number of hours it needs topping up the day after. Plumber says its due to a small leak somewhere in the system. Its quite an old boiler too, my question is.....do I need all my pipework and radiators replacing?
I'd like a more modern boiler, but shudder at the cost of getting eveything replaced.
Any ideas how much I'd be looking at?
I live in a smallish two bed terraced house.
Thanks
