Ok, I have a choice of 2 Nissan Notes 1.5 DCI N-TEC. Both are '59 plates

The first has done 37,321 miles and is £6,995

the other 74,000 miles and is £5,990

Both in really good condition. I reckon I could get the one with higher mileage down on price, he's open to negotiation. Just not sure about the high mileage, and how many more years driving it will give me. We do about 12,000 miles/year. Just wondering if anyone could give some feedback/opinions on this please?

Not interested on feedback about choice of car :p

Thanks in advance

Means they usually have been kept to good standard with servicing and repairs.
  • I have a Nissan note N-tec, but it is the automatic 58 plate. I really like it.

I would probably go for the lower mileage one if I could afford it. Check the service history of both cars and try and check when the wheels were last changed. The last time I had a wheel changed the tyre fitter said that the insdie rim was rusting, which he cleaned up.

Overall, I am very happy with my car.

Great to hear good stories about it, they get very good reviews. Isnt the most exciting car, but with a young family and good prices, looks ideal for us. I like the touch screen with the sat nav built in :)

I would rather go for the cheaper one. But only if its going to last for a decent amount of miles.

I don't believe for one minute that most are ex-motability. Some will be, most certainly, but how many do you see parked with blue stickers?

What is most important is this:- check the mileage with the service book and anything else you can lay your hands on. Particularly if the seller is private, is their name in the logbook at that address.

How did one knock up 74,000 in 3 years? Not usually company cars and that is big mileage.

Who is selling the cars? Private or dealer?

Remember, if you are going to layout an extra grand for a similar car of the same age, you need to be 100% sure the mileage is accurate.

Thanks for your help Dad :D

Its a dealer who is selling both. Had a look at the higher mileage model at lunch there, I think i'll avoid that one! Looks like its the less mileage one :)
