Changing partition walls - is this a job for a builder?

Hi
I moved in yesterday to a house in need of renovation. It is covered in dog hair but that is another story!

Anyway it is a chalet bungalow, we have moved in downstairs and left the upstairs empty to make it easier to change. Basically there are stud walls with the old fashioned go through one bedroom to get to another type of layout.
We need the partition walls rearranged to allow bedrooms with their own access. Have called several builders but none have got back to me. Is it more suited to a different type of tradesman? Any advice welcome.

Also any advice on restoring parquet floor with lots of loose bits?

Thanks in advance, Jo
