If banks didnt charge over the odds for breach of contract there would be no punishment and so people would just give up paying when the going got a little tough. Only charging what it actually cost the bank is rewarding the people who breach their contracts. I cant see why the banks have to charge what it cost's them. Spurs nut does your bread cost the punter the same as it costs for you to make? You are just ripping off the poor who cant afford your profit. You charge as much as you can get for it. If people didnt make profits think where we would be then.
I agree with your views 100%
But yet again, someone comes on this board looking for advice and you can guarantee the response from the likes of you and the other Prats are less than friendly.
More along the lines of sarcastic and patronising.
Why shouldn't they charge you
banks are there to make money off scum like you etc etc blah blah blah
This was my point last time, but it somehow got swung round to me being part of an un-evolved breed of the human race who sits in spending his low yearly income on special brew.
But hey, what do you expect from a chavy retard
Carry on. :cool:0 -
Oh spurs_!!!!!! do stop it can we not all be one big happy family? Or is yours big enough as it is?
Sorry only joking mate, I'm not going to apologise for my points of view but I will refrain from upsetting anyone as much as I possibly canI am a Mortgage Adviser

Put it this way. If we get all upset about banks and other business making a profit we will all have problems. We live in a capitalist society and if you stop one area of banking profit they will find another way of getting you. Most likely they will get rid of free banking So tell me why we should approve of a few people ruining a good system for everyone. The only people who get these charges are people who breach their contract so why reward them at our expense. In the OP's case even if he does win it will be interesting to see if he ever gets a mortgage at a sensible rate again.I like to give people as many choices as possible to do what I want them to. (Milton H Erickson I think)0 -
Sorry I asked the question dont worry i wont trouble you lot again:mad:0

You wont get any constructive comments form bigmamma and absoultebender i'm afraid.

Go for it and claim your bank charges back, its your money. It has nothing to do with the fact your in a bit of bother with your mortgage company thats a seperate issue.
Good luck to you.0 -
Thats typical mentality of someone up to their eyeballs in debt. Responsible lending, fair charges and irresponsible borrowing. where does the buck stop?I am a Mortgage Adviser

The arrears will be paid by the time I go to court, and the amount i am reclaiming is £5400
If you pay the arrears before the court date they can't reposses your house, you need to go to court when you have paid it and the judge will put a stop on it. Go to your local county court and they will help you fill in the paper work.
As for the counter claim I don't think you will be able to do it as the mortgage side will be run separate from the banking side, you will probably have to make a separate claim. My Mission today is to have an opinion on everything.
If you don't like it well you will just have to lump it!0 -
Tipical reply from a one eyed view point on things.
