Its a toughy but i'd suggest getting a 'new car' thats cheaper to run overall, fuel, tax, insurance and repairs.
last time i had to buy a car, january this year, you certainly couldn't get anything other than 'a use for a year and scrap' for less than £1000, i ending paying £1400 for a ford KA 2002, its not really my sort of car,i like big cars, but its cheap to run
What would your car be worth if you had it fixed?
A lot of bigger cars are going for what seems like bargain prices, but its simply to get rid beause they are so expensive now for people to run, likewise the prices of smaller cars have risen because there is more demand as people are trying to cut overall costs.
If you could be sure your own car will be fixed for £1000 than this might be the safer option, you know the car and what little things might be wrong, buying a cheapo runaround is tricky because theres always the chance something could be wrong with it and you wont have much comeback
:rotfl::rotfl: Just realised im not being much help ~ sorry! good luck
Thanks for thati'm trying hard to be sensible but i keep hesitating at anything involving getting rid of my car :rotfl: i am desperate to get on the road but i just dont have the cash to fix mine atm. i am thinking about hedging my bets atm by going for a cheapo to get me on the road and time to sort my own :rotfl::rotfl: its prob the silliest option but it means i will get a car on the road quickly and maybe i will reconsider fixing my own later
it also stops me doing my own head in
My money making has practically ground to a halt after my sprint to get the housey fund sortedi need to get my focus back though cos i have so much more to get rid of and still need more cash to sort my situation....kick up bum time :rotfl:

Ran out of my hypo-allergenic hand cream and lip balm. Instead of spending the usual £15 I made my own. Blending a tiny bit of coconut oil, cold-pressed rapeseed oil and a drop of grapefruit essential oil I now have lip balm at a fraction of the usual price. Probably works out at pennies (assuming you already have those things in the house). Yes, I am clutching at straws for ways to improve my financial situation! Still, that's £15 I would normally have spent. Super-fun-frugal :dance:0

Ever thought of making more, putting it in pretty little pots and selling it, or using that for a few "stocking fillers" for teenagers?

I am really struggling to get my money making mojo working this week - am exhausted and in pain so not feeling up to doing much. I have some really disappointing ebay sales to sort out - need to stop listing things for 99p start i think cos it just disheartens me when things go for next to nothing
Just listed 10 perfume sets on BIN so fingers crossed for sales - listing them on fb page too
I also managed to boost swaggers total today and actually made the bonus level target for the first time in monthsmight try and focus on this a bit more again cos i know more effort = more dosh on there
Might try and list at least 1 or 2 things a day on ebay too - get me back in the zone (maybe!) :rotfl: Actually that gave me an idea - i am thinking about trying to establish a daily money making/saving routine - does anyone else have a daily routine like this?Debt at Aug 2010 (LBM) £21,908.86, Debt Freeeeee Date 4th Nov 2013 :j:j:j Massive Thanks to the £10 per day thread :A Next goals:Savings £1203.16/£10,000******Mortgage to Zero: £52,579.46 to go
