Is there a paypal withdrawal limit?

You will have to double-check on PayPal but I remember something about them removing limits at which you had to pay a withdrawal fee. It used to be that you could withdraw any amount, but you had to pay a fee for under £50. I'm fairly sure they no longer charge, but please check the PayPal info.
  • Actually I've just checked for you and PayPal do not charge for a standard withdrawal to a UK bank in GBP....but I still don't understand how you withdrew the money in the first place.

It's an account I set up years ago, I can withdraw into my bank account but I don't think they are linked so I can't use it to buy stuff.

Just found this link, minimum withdrawal 1p.

That would leave me with £2.24 in my account which I wont be able to withdraw.

You could just send the £2.24 back to your friend's Paypal account and just knock it off what you owe them.
By doing it as a gift payment there won't be any fees to pay.

Problem is, it says it can take up to 4 days.

And my bank account now only has £57.75 which means even if I do move the money over I won't have enough to issue a full refund.

I will owe my friend £2.24 but if I send it to him I'm going to lose another 28p in paypal fees and after today I'm going to need every penny I can lay my hands on.
  • Of course, you'll only refund once the phone has been returned by trackable means
