Advice for buying samsung GDR shares on LSE

Hi,
I have experience in trading equities (but not in UK stock market) so quiet aware about risks involved. But not quiet sure how easy it is to buy & sell GDR listed on LSE.
Can any one offer advice/insight in to how to buy and sell GDR? as i really want to buy shares of Samsung electronics - which is listed on Korean stock exchange
If possible buy them via ISA wrapper - so that gains are tax free
Thanks in advance.

You can hold shares on any "recognised stock exchange" in your ISA, so Korea ought to be OK.
However you may encounter a few problems, firstly finding an ISA provider that lets you trade in Korean shares and secondly you should be aware of Withholding Tax issues. Putting it in an ISA will not automatically exempt you from Korean taxes.

I thought the GDR shares are traded at the LSE? Ticker SMSN. So you should be able to trade them like any other share on the LSE.
Not sure whether anyone offers them within ISAs.0 -
Thanks for info.
Here's quick update :
I enquired and Hargreaves Lansdown said they dont offer samsung stock. Halifax said that The only Samsung stock they trade is under stock code SSU on the Xetra market. This can be purchased within an ISA.
Im not sure about buying stock through german stock exchange but i will investigate more about this.
Waiting for replies from other stock trading agents.0
