The agression the OP had on his face when the delivery driver came to drop off the order.0 -
I got the impression the swapped item was a similar price to the offer champagne. However the problem was it was a poorer quality product
Yes exactly how it happened.
The 1 the OP ordered was £12 but he got a sub that ranges in price from £14.99 to £25.99.
Not quite sure how teh OP can decide its not the same standard of product if he hasnt tasted the alternative. Ive not tried the 1 on offer but it could be not worth the £24(original price)0 -
Anyway I'm no IT geek, but it wouldn't work or be pheasable as stock levels change second to secondIf you order it 2 days before it's delivered, they won't know if it will be in stock or not, as they may have sold out.
That wasn't the point I was making. Spike had previously said "the item may not be stocked by that store" which I took to mean the store NEVER had stock of that item, for example it was something available in larger stores only. Not just that they'd run out, which I fully accept happens.
If I misconstrued this original point then I apologise.0 -

If an item is available then it is stocked by the store, whether its on the shelf is another matter, the stock could be in the warehouse waiting to be put on the shelf. The website works out which store delivers for your post code and displays the items that are stocked.0 -
The same happened to me. I ordered 6 bottles of champagne and applied all discounts to get £8 per bottle. I then ordered milk and biscuits to take my order over the required £50. On allocated delivery day, the driver turned up with no champagne just milk and biscuits. I had no communication to say my champagne wouldn't arrive.sent them an email about it and 2 days later still await a response....0
