redundancy payment and new start

I am being made redundant in December after working for the org' for 3 yrs 9 months continuously.

For the past 3 full years i have been on a 3 yr contract.

My question is if i find work before leaving (which i hope is likely) and it is confirmed but the start date is not until Febuary am i right in thinking this won't affect my redundancy entitlement.

If the new job is with an unconnected employer and you don't have to resign because you won't start the new job until the old one has ended, then you are entitled to the redundancy payment. That's because your current employer will be dismissing you on the grounds of redundancy.
