Newbie Question - claims list

Hello all,
Bit of a newbie in all this.
Is there a way to check who owes PPI repayments to me?
Do I have to remember all loans, CC etc back over time, or can I check somewhere?
What about old credit cards, for example with Egg, where I don't know know the account details.
Can I send a 'blind' claim, for example to Lloyds TSB asking them to check my loan records?
thanks for any advice

No-one owes you anything. Can I send a 'blind' claim, for example to Lloyds TSB asking them to check my loan records?
This site is a consumer one but it doesn't encourage committing fraud. What reasons for complaint would you make about something you do not know you had and clearly do not know if you were mis-sold or not? There are ways of doing these things and making things up is not the way to do it. Read the article on this site for more info on what to do.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). You have to do your own research, which you could start by sending a Subject Access Request (SAR) to this bank. It costs £10, but should provide all information the Bank has on file for you for at least the last six years.0 -
having PPI is not wrong! it just seems like you want a freebie0

You're all a bit harsh - so maybe I asked a question the wrong way.
What I meant was - is it possible to contact say Lloyds TSB (I bank with Lloyds, had loans, credit cards etc over the last few years) and for them to check my account history to see if I was mis sold any of their products.
Or
Do I need to go through my old loans, cards etc and look for PPI payments.0 -

You cannot engage the Banks (or even a Claims Company) to do your research; you have to do it yourself.0 -

Probably. The bit about sending in a blind complaint suggested that you were just going to send in a random selection of complaint reasons. Or that is at least how we have interpreted it.What I meant was - is it possible to contact say Lloyds TSB (I bank with Lloyds, had loans, credit cards etc over the last few years) and for them to check my account history to see if I was mis sold any of their products.
You either make a complaint giving reasons for complaint or you don't complain. You don't actually have to have many complaint reasons. Just one will start the complaint and get it investigated. However, as you only get one bite of the cherry, you cant just give one reason and then go back with another and another. Also, in most cases, you would expect the firm to have nothing on file that suggests any wrong doing. They need to know what your reasons are in case it is something they cannot identify from their files.
Quite a lot of people have got lucky on auto payouts but there is less of that going on now (it is more selective now) and some of the reasons that worked early on do not work as much now. So, you do need to have your reasons.
You can ask them if you had PPI but if you want to complain about it then you need to state your reasons.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
