I want a 0% Purcahse deal - but cards have already been used

Seems deals are only available for new clients to a card - are there any or how can you get 0% purchase on cards already used. And/or if you already have the card even though nothing outstanding on it how can you can get a new 0% deal on it.

Why wait for offers on current cards.

There are plenty of 0% purchase cards out there to choose from, if you have a very good credit rating. I've had Virgin, Tesco, Halifax and M&S over the past 4 years or so. I've always paid them off to zero before the 0% period has run out.

Just got accepted for a Lloyds card.

Some of my cards give repeat offers as well, so I guess it could depend on the card. My Virgin card has always been very generous with offers. Nearly always has an offer on it, normally balance transfers only sadly, although I have had a couple of 0% purchases on it over the last 4 years.

My Halifax card, keeps offering me 0% balance transfer only, they started once I had a zero balance and hadn't used the card for months. My Natwest card the same 0% balance transfers only. Tesco never offered anything and so the card is now closed.

Once you finish with a card cancel it then use the lender again in a year as a new customer,i switch between 2 lenders every year on their 0% deals. Lenders don't offer 0% deals to existing customers.

^^ this isn't completely true, you might not get the same 22mths 0% deals from existing cards but you can get some deals from them, Creation, Barclaycard, Tesco and Halifax have all offered me new deals. OP give your existing providers a call and ask, not everyone gets offered the same deals
