Help with Scottish Power

Hi folks,

Long time creeper on this site and I'm you'll be able to sort this issue out easily.
I've did a quick search through the threads and I couldn't find the answer I was looking for but no doubt its here somewhere.

Anywhoo.... Just moved into my first rented house and I got a estimated bill for gas and electricity for £65. I thought fair enough and then a week later I got another letter stating it was £100.

So I made an account online to manage it and I think Im getting to grips with the thing. As you can enter in your current meter readings (as I'm sure you're all aware!).

The question is, the letters I have received states my first monthly instalment is for the 15th nov. But online it states my next bill date is the 28/11/12. Am I right in thinking that I should believe the online one?
Also between now and then does it matter when I input my current meter readings? Will the current meter reading price still be the same during the whole month?

Thanks for looking at this incredibly amateur question.

Hiya, I am an online SP customer.
I would not be to concerned. Your bill will become regular with DD.
I read my meters most weeks and put in online. Others do it monthly.
The fuel price will not change once you are on a tariff.
You will be able to see how much fuel you are using.
An OWL monitor is very helpful, I find.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)
