Hi
Anyone know how I can temp repair my garage.
Started leaking in the corner the chipboard under the roof felt used is wet and developed a valley where the water sits and eventually leaks through what can be used to fill this valley as a temp measure?.I have tried roof compound but because the water sits there it seem s to find a way through.
Any help would be appreciated until I can get some money together for a proper repair next year
Thanks

I'd get a roll of flat roof felt and some liquid bitumen and cover the area as best as you can.0

Just 'cos it's leaking in the corner the actual split could be in the centre of the roof and the water running along a beam.
I've done a flat roof myself in the past with a couple of tins of bitumen, it wasn't hard but it;s very messy. You'll need a few dry days though.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

after various attempt to stem the leak I finally used a product called roof fix. dont use roofseal washes away in the damp, what i need is a way of temporary stop where the ponding is occuring , I spoke to someone who has used self leveling compound to level out the area which are dipped.
Would this work or make is worse as the roof is made of chipboard thats still wet.just need to get over this wet period before doing a permanet repair in the drier months.
Thanks in advance0 -
Don't know the size of roof, but Wickes do some fairly large, cheap, tarpaulins. I've used one as a temp on my shed, and it lasted over a year, through wind and weather. Tie the corners and middle down, of course, but eyelets provided.0
