And I keep telling you VLC does not work but you do not want to listen, from you own link:
20th Century Fox releases are BD+ and wont play with VLC even if there decrypted to HD. And releases from 2012 and newer will be hit or miss. MKB v31 are verified to revoke the host certificate and there's no public processing key.

VLC does not work with the latest "BD+ DRM" on Blu-Rays which is most disks released this year!

That Thread you listed is talking about 2 problems in the same threasd! ACSS (This CAN be played in VLC with a DLL)
    and
BD+ (Currently not playable in VLC)

  • To play Blu-Ray, you can use Blu Ray Ripper for Windows 8 to rip Blu-Ray to Windows 8 Support WMV or WMV HD or HD H.264 MP4 or use third party paid Blu-Ray player for Windows 8. And by doing some tricks, you can hire VLC media player to play Blu-Ray in Windows 8 64-bit or Windows 8 32 bit for free.

That is entirely correct. But that is not what the link above is suggesting you do - directly. It suggests that you use a third-party software like Blu-ray Ripper (or AnyDVD HD, for example) to render the underlying movie readable by VLC or the majority of other software players come to that.

Blu-ray Ripper and AnyDVD HD software is readily available. Whilst deprecated by the mainstream studios no move has been made to stop development and/or distribution of either titles.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

That isn't what the links says at all, it suggests using blu-ray ripper to convert the video or use VLC to play back AACS encoded titles. While I have blu-ray ripping software, even on a powerful machine it's not a quick process. Given it's a single post from the user it looks like a spam post anyway.

The question I asked for this thread was whether there was cheap blu-ray playback software, yes AnyDVD HD can strip the protection but given the cost is higher than blu-ray playback software it fails completely on the cheap criteria.

Unless anyone feels like recommending VLC yet again, I think I've answered my own question.
